What is the Legend Pro™?

The Legend Pro™ by Lumenis® is a comprehensive skin rejuvenation platform that can revitalize and stimulate the upper layers of the skin while regenerating elastin fibers and collagen from the deeper dermis. How is Treatment with the Legend Pro™ Performed?

Treatment with the Legend Pro™ conveniently takes place in-office. Following a discussion of your goals and skin concerns, a custom treatment plan will be created according to your unique needs.

During treatment, the Legend Pro™ handpiece will be guided over the targeted areas. While tiny micro-perforations are made on the skin’s surface to regenerate new skin, TriPollar® RF energy delivers controlled heating to the dermal layers to kickstart collagen production. Due to the patient-focused design of the Legend Pro™, there is typically no need for a numbing agent applied to the skin beforehand. While some swelling or redness is to be expected, patients generally report little to no discomfort and resume their normal routines right after treatment. TriPollar RF triggers regeneration of collagen and elastin fibers by applying controlled heating of the deep dermis. The contraction of the collagen fibers creates the effect over the skin. The effect is noticeable immediately after treatment.

What Can TriPollar® Treatments Do?

TriPollar® can be used to target various regions of the face and body, helping to tighten loose skin and remove unwanted fat – resulting in a revitalized, more youthful-looking aesthetic. Based on the unique needs and/or desires of the patient, TriPollar® treatments can be customized to help:

The TriPollar® Procedure

During this nonsurgical treatment, we will use TriPollar® technology to deliver controlled radiofrequency energy into targeted area(s) of the face and body, while your skin temperature is monitored by an infrared camera. Depending on the treatment location and specific concern being addressed, this regulated energy can be focused into the skin’s dermal layer and/or underlying fat layers.

When targeting facial skin, the heated RF energy works to contract existing elastic fibers—such as collagen and elastin—while stimulating the growth of new collagen for a gradual tightening and smoothing effect.

For unwanted fat deposits on the body, the thermal RF energy helps shrink down fat cells, resulting in an improved, contoured look in the targeted region. This deep heating effect can also help to diminish stretch marks and/or the appearance of any cellulite that might be present.

The TriPollar® system is able to warm specific tissues with an optimal level of efficiency and comfort without the need for either high amounts of energy to heat targeted skin layers or a grounding pad with conducting gel. In fact, the relatively low power necessary during the procedure eliminates the need for any cooling mechanism and allows for a more comfortable treatment experience than ever before.

Following treatment, some initial swelling and/or redness can be expected – these symptoms are minimal and very temporary. Patients experience no pain or discomfort during or after the procedure; to the contrary, most report a pleasing sensation like that of a hot stone massage. Patients can resume normal daily activities immediately including exercise. For the optimal results, we recommend a series of 3-5 TriPollar® treatments a week apart.

VoluDerm™ encourages the generation of new and healthy skin by applying RF-assisted ultra-thin electrodes, creating controlled micor wounds that trigger the production of new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.
